Joint Health and Safety Part II Certification - Office
Participants in this course will gain an understanding of the hazards commonly encountered in office settings. Course topics include: ergonomics, indoor air quality, equipment and workspace issues, personal security and basic chemicals (housekeeping and office). This course meets the mandated requirements set out by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board’s (WSIB’s) Certification Training Program Standard.

Note: Joint Health and Safety Committee Member Certification is a 2-step process requiring successful completion of Part 1 (Basic) and Part 2 (Workplace-Specific or Sector-Specific Hazard Training). Employers of participants seeking Part 2 Certification are expected to conduct a hazard assessment to determine the "significant hazards" present at their workplace and to train prospective certified member in those hazards. Upon completion of training, participants must submit a completed copy of the Workplace Specific Hazard Training Confirmation Form (#3189A) to WSIB for final certification.
